Croatia, with the EU behind it, wants to disconnect Bosnia and Herzegovina from the sea by building a bridge off the city of Neum.

When Peljesac Bridge, which has caused a crisis between Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina since the early 2000s, is finished, Bosnia will be disconnected from the Adriatic Sea. The bridge, financed by the EU with 357 million Euros, is planned to open in 2022.

The Islamic homeland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, was once again in the middle of the strife. Croatia, which continues to work on bridges off the city of Neum, which is the only piece of land where Bosnia and Herzegovina has a coast on the Adriatic Sea, wants to disconnect Bosnia and Herzegovina from the sea by taking the EU behind. Peljesac Bridge, funded by the European Union, is about to be completed. While the bridge is planned to be opened in 2022, the fact that one leg of the tripartite government governing Bosnia and Herzegovina consists of Croats opens space for the Croatian government in the bridge work. In the statement made at the Center for Maritime and Global Strategies of Bahçeşehir University, it was warned that no military support from Turkey could go to a possible war in Bosnia and Herzegovina if the bridge was completed.

Speaking to our newspaper, Bosnia and Herzegovina politician Samir Sibonjic stated that the ugly ambitions of Croats supported by the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina are nothing new.

THE SPONSOR OF THE PROJECT EUROPEAN UNION

The bridge crisis between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia, two important countries of the Balkan geography, flared up again. The Peljesac Bridge, which the Croatian state recklessly continues with the support of the European Union, aims to connect the southernmost lands and the northern lands by road, aims to block Bosnia and Herzegovina's exit to the open sea. The bridge project, which has been a source of crisis between the two countries since the early 2000s, is planned to be opened in 2022. In case the scandal project is completed, Bosnia and Herzegovina, our strongest ally in the Balkans, will be completely cut off from the sea.

IZZETBEGOVIC'S POLITICAL SUCCESS NEUM IS WANTED TO BE BYPASSED

During the negotiations of the Dayton Peace Treaty, which was defined as an agreement that crippled Bosnia and Herzegovina, the city of Neum, which Croatia tried to annex its territory and whose population was almost entirely Croats, remained within the borders of Bosnia and Herzegovina as a result of the resistance of Bosnia and Herzegovina's Wise President Alija Izetbegovic. Although many different alternatives are brought up for the bridge that will cross the coast of Neum, which attracts attention as a tourism city, the Croatian government insists on the construction of the Peljesac Bridge every time with the courage it receives from the European Union. Even Croatian citizens living in the city of Neum under the rule of Bosnia and Herzegovina think that the bridge to be built by the Croatian government will cause great damage to their city.

THE BRIDGE IS PLANNED TO OPEN IN 2022

The biggest financier of the bridge project that Croatia, which became a full member of the European Union in 2013, is trying to do with the claim of the integrity of its territory is the European Union. According to international reports, the European Commission covered 357 milion euros, which is 85 percent of the bridge project. The bridge construction is expected to be completed in 2022.

In the statement made by Bahçeşehir University Center for Maritime and Global Strategies (BAU DEGS), which continues its work under the chairmanship of retired Admiral Cihat Yaycı, reacted to Croatia's unlawful initiative.

In the statement of BAU DEGS, "Bosnia and Herzegovina's access to the sea is recklessly blocked by such a bridge. Who will say stop to this lawlessness? Is Bosnia and Herzegovina unattended? With this bridge, the aid that Turkey will provide to Bosnia and Herzegovina by sea will be cut. In this way, the sea theses of Turkey from China to the Adriatic Sea are also disrupted by this bridge. And most importantly, if built, this bridge will prevent Turkey from accessing Bosnia by sea in a massacre similar to what happened in Bosnia before. Milosevic's genocide plan will be implemented and Bosnia will be isolated from the sea," it was said.

In the event that the bridge under construction is completed, Bosnia and Herzegovina will not only suffer in terms of tourism and economy, but also lose its natural rights to sea areas. The bridge in question is being built right in front of the Klek Peninsula and the cape of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In this way, it is desired to prevent Bosnia and Herzegovina's access to the sea by closing the nose. From a strategic point of view, the most important detail is that; If built, this bridge in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the event of the occurrence of a similar massacre that took place earlier against Muslims what Turkey and other neighboring countries are able to provide what the sea help sea of people staying opportunity to be able to evacuate.
