Luxembourg's Foreign Minister Jean Asselborn, who is a minister of one of the smallest and most ineffective countries in Europe, threats Turkey on economic sanctions.
Speaking to Germany's Deutschlandfunk broadcasting agency, Asselborn said that the members of European Commission and NATO member states could not use the pressures on the press and the oppositions, and that the EU could use the option of economic sanctions as answer of oppression.
Asselborn claimed that many people in Turkey were victimized by the measures against the failed coup since July 15, and he compared this measures with the Nazi era, EU would not accept it he said.
Asselborn, who did not even say a single word on the terror of the PKK that caused severe damage to our people for 40 years , "Turkey makes about fifty percent of its exports to EU countries. Sixty percent of the investments made in Turkey are from EU countries. This is an absolute pressure staff." he said.
