Elazığ's cultural heritage in the Maden district, Cami-i Kebir (Big Mosque) and 510 buildings, are being sacrificed to the mine!

Built in 1792 in Elazığ, the cultural heritage of Cami-i Kebir (Big Mosque) and 510 other building, which is also the subject of Servet-i Fünun, is discharged due to the risk of landslides arising from the excavation of the mine! 
 
Although it was underlined that the cause of the landslide risk was caused by the excavation of the mine, the Elazığ Governorship decided to evacuate the historical mosque and the neighborhood instead of taking the measures related to the mine.
 
In the district of Maden, Elazığ, due to the excavation of the mine, decided to evacuate the governor's office for the protected historical Cami-i Kebir! 
 
The provincial governor's office started the evacuation process in 510 places, including 278 residences and 232 workplaces. 
 
Cami-i Kebir, which was built in 1792 in Maden district of Elazığ and which is also the subject of Servet-i Fünun, was registered as il the first group to be protected Maden in 2010. 
 
For the restoration and organization of the region, MPs and lastly, Saadet Party Istanbul deputy Cihangir Islam made a motion to the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM). 
 
However, there was a landslide risk due to the excavation of the mine in the region. In order to protect the citizens from the landslide risk, the provincial governorate controlled the quarry in the region and decided to dispose of 510 buildings in total, together with the Cultural Heritage Cami-i Kebir. 
 
The report dated 22 September 2017, which was commissioned by the Elazığ Governorate on the web site of the Mining District Governorate, draws attention to the fact that the landslide risk is due to the excavation of the mine. 
 
The people of the region stated that the historical Cami-i Kebir and the surrounding 510 buildings were sacrificed to the mine.
