London Public Transport Authority (TfL) identified the driver of the subway taken by the demonstrators who went to the solidarity demonstration with Palestine held on October 21 in London, the capital of England.
Noting that the driver was using a train on the Central line in the subway system, TfL's operations manager Glynn Barton said that the driver in question was abusing the announcement system.
Speaking about the investigation carried out regarding the driver who made the passengers chant "Free Palestine", Barton said, "The driver has been suspended from duty while we continue to fully investigate the incident in accordance with our policies and procedures."
British Transport Police and TfL announced that they launched an investigation after images of the driver who made passengers chant slogans at the rally in support of Palestine held on October 21 were shared on social media.
The footage also showed the driver chanting slogans and saying, "I hope you all have a nice day today. Take care of yourselves. Keep all these people in your prayers."
