Felicity (Saadet) Party Deputy Chairman Cafer Güneş made evaluations on the agenda at the press conference he held. Güneş pointed out that the most important agenda of Turkey is economic problems and emphasized that prices continue to increase day by day. Güneş said, “Walking in the markets is like walking in the horror tunnel in amusement parks! Prices cannot be stopped,” he said.
Saadet Party Deputy Chairman Cafer Güneş stated that the most important agenda of the citizens is the economy at the press conference he held at the party Headquarters,“The economy is on the agenda of the shopkeepers who do not know how to pay their bills, the housewives who start to search for recipes that do not require much oil, the mothers who put dry bread in their child's lunch box, our young people who are afraid to go out so as not to spend money, our retirees who can't get what they want for their grandchildren, those who haven't had meat in their homes for a long time, and even our little puppies who go to primary school. The economy and the cost of living are on the everybody's agenda,” he added.
THE ONLY REASON OF INCREASING PRICES IS THE POWER ITSELF
Pointing out that the main reason for the economic problems experienced is the mismanagement of the government, Güneş stated that the main reason for the price increases is the increase in logistics costs, and said, “One of the main factors that play a role in price increases is the increase in logistics costs. In other words, the increase in fuel prices is presented to the citizens as increased products. The government, which has the blessing of shifting the responsibility to other centers and events, as its luck is often good, claims the tension between Russia and Ukraine for the fuel prices of 20 Turkish Liras (TL). However, the reason for the increase in fuel is largely the competitive exchange rate policy implemented by the government, it is the government itself.”
“THE DIFFERENCE OF EXCHANGE CAUSES INCREASE IN FUEL PRICES”
Pointing out that in addition to brent oil prices, exchange rate differences also have an effect on the price increases in fuel, "Brent oil was at the level of 111 dollars in 2014, and because the dollar rate was 2,11 TL, a liter of gasoline was sold at 5,05 TL. In other words, although brent oil prices in fuel oil were at the same level as in 2014, there was a 15 TL difference in the sales price of gasoline. What brings out this difference is the depreciation of the TL against the dollar," Güneş added.
“THEY ARE THEM ON THE AGENDA OF THE POWER, NOT TURKEY”
Noting that the economy is not on the government's agenda, Güneş noted that the government focuses on how to win the elections, and said, "Erdogan's government has not Turkey on its agenda, it is only him, he only has power. The Justice and Development Party (AKP) and its partners, who could not find a solution to the cost of living, which the people were crushed under, so to speak, could not fix the economy, and now they are trying to win elections by putting new plans into action, as they see that they cannot achieve success by winning the heart of the nation.”
