In the exhibition, the pain, hopes, demands, troubles, sorrows, dreams and expressions of thanks in the letters were revealed.
Fate Prisoners Association, which has been providing important services to prisoners and their families in all prisons in Turkey for years, brought together the letters sent by prisoners and convicts and opened an exhibition.
The exhibition, where more than 300 thousand letters are open to visitors, aims to share the difficulties and emotional experiences of prisoners and convicts with large audiences.
Letters are considered as a tool that people in prison use to express their inner world, feelings and hopes.
The letters in the notable exhibition of the Prisoners of Destiny Association were written by detainees and convicts from various prisons.
Expressing their pain, their demands for justice, their hopes and dreams, these letters are displayed to draw more attention to society's hardships in prisons.
“AN OPPORTUNITY TO BUILD AWARENESS”
Speaking about the letter exhibition, Necdet Yüksel, President of the Prisoners of Fate Association, said, "The exhibition we have prepared is an opportunity to understand the problems experienced by people in prison and to raise awareness. More attention needs to be paid to the emotional and psychological needs of people in prisons."
