In the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Republican People's Party (CHP) and Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) held weekly group meetings.
CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu criticized the government over the economy at the group meeting of his party. MHP Chairman Devlet Bahceli made harsh criticisms of the opposition parties.
“THEY CANNOT GOVERN THE COUNTRY”
CHP leader Kılıçdaroğlu emphasized that the government cannot rule the country.
"Government see a voice coming out of each head. Government see that what one minister said, another minister denied. They know that the opposite of what a minister said was said by the AK Party Group President. While one says A about minimum wage, the other can skip 28 letters and say Z. They know that they do not dominate prices. They know that the state is largely perceived as a mechanism to be robbed. Everyone knows that those in power cannot rule the country," he said.
“HE SHOULD NOT HAVE FILLED IN THIS POSITION”
Responding to MHP leader Bahçeli's statement, "The hikes, the cost of living are all temporary. It is forbidden for a Muslim to be pessimistic," Kılıçdaroğlu reacted as follows:
"He is giving a fatwa to the Islamic world. In fact, if they were not ashamed, they would say, 'It is haram not to vote for us'. According to these gentlemen, stealing, corrupting, spending 128 billion dollars is not haram, but pessimism is haram. I really feel sorry for MHP. He shouldn't be in such a position."
“PRICE INCREASE IS TEMPORARY!”
MHP Chairman Devlet Bahceli called for the opposition to announce its presidential candidate, emphasizing that the candidate of the People's Alliance has been determined.
Referring to the increasing food prices, Bahçeli said, "Price increases, hikes, cost of living are temporary. It was like that yesterday and it is like that today. Tomorrow will be the same. It is forbidden for a Muslim to be pessimistic. Those who see Turkey's trouble as a political rant, and those who think that they will gain power in this way, are simply incompetent. These are unscrupulous people who have contributed to the bread, virtue, energy and labor of the Turkish nation."
