The rise in diesel prices, one of the main expenses of trade and agriculture, continues to be reflected in every field.

While the liter price of diesel is approaching 28 TL, the high price of diesel continues to be an important factor in increasing inflation rates.

EBS Consulting President Erol Şahin stated that the reason for the increase in diesel prices is the decrease in production and the decrease in government subsidy rates.

SUBSIDY RATE REDUCED, EVEN REMOVED

EBS Consulting President Erol Şahin stated that the increase in diesel prices, which is an important product in every field in Turkey, is happening all over the world.

"Diesel prices in Turkey were subsidized in the past. Subsidy rates have been reduced or even removed. This situation caused the prices of gasoline, LPG and diesel to rise to high levels. The increase in diesel prices, which is an important product in every field, was reflected in products in all areas of life," he said.

IT HAS INCREASED IN THE WORLD BUT IT HAS INCREASED EVEN MORE IN TURKEY!

Expressing that diesel prices are an expensive product since production, Şahin said that the Russian-Ukrainian War also had an impact on prices.

"Prices increase with the decrease in diesel oil production, while the demand decreases with the decrease in the use of diesel vehicles in the world, this has caused an extra price difference. In Turkey, the gap widened a little more because the state subsidy was reduced," he said.

EVERY FUEL PRICE INCREASE IS REFLECTED TO THE PRICES SEPARATELY

Stating that fuel products such as diesel are products that affect every aspect of life, Şahin pointed out that even the slightest increase has an effect on prices.

"Every increase in fuel is reflected in every product. It is impossible not to reflect. Every penny increase is reflected in the price of the products. The increase in the cost of product transportation within or outside the country is reflected in the prices of the products. The increase in prices triggers the increase in inflation," he added.
