EXPO 2021-Hatay opened its doors to visitors with its official opening. Republican People’s Party (CHP) Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, Democrat Party (DP) Chairman Gültekin Uysal, Felicity (Saadet) Party Deputy Chairman Hasan Bitmez, IYI (Good) Party Secretary General Atty. Uğur Poyraz, Saadet Party General Administrative Board (GIK) Member Assoc. Dr. Necmettin Çalışkan, Saadet Party Hatay Provincial Chairman Mustafa Ege, Saadet Party Antakya District President Fadıl Koçak, deputies, mayors, foreign mission representatives and many guests attended.
“WE KNOW TO OVERCOME ALL OBSTACLES”
Speaking in the program, CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu pointed out that there are obstacles against municipalities under the leadership of opposition parties, “I would like you to remember one thing. The determination is not only in our Hatay Metropolitan Municipality. I want you to know that our other mayors are walking the same path with the same determination and perseverance. We do not complain about all the obstacles, but we knew to overcome the obstacles. We know how to overcome obstacles, we also show our determined will to overcome obstacles. Therefore, we are determined to bring Turkey to the light, no matter what obstacle they pose,” Kılıçdaroğlu said.
“WE WILL MAKE HATAY'S BROTHERHOOD SPIRIT DOMINATE THE COUNTRY”
In his speech, Democrat Party Chairman Gültekin Uysal said, "We believe that the friendship, brotherhood and unity of Hatay, which hosts EXPO 2021, will be re-established throughout Turkey and we are working towards this."
“MUNICIPALITIES SERVE WITH THEIR OWN BUDGET”
Good Party Secretary General Atty. Uğur Poyraz also wished EXPO 2021 to be beneficial for our whole country, especially Hatay. Poyraz drew attention to the importance of organizing such programs with their own budgets, despite the fact that the municipalities under the administration of opposition parties see an embargo from the central budget. The host of the program, Hatay Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Assoc. Dr. Lütfü Savaş, stating that they are very pleased to open a sustainable and permanent EXPO area to the service of the people of Hatay, he thanked everyone who works day and night.
