1,753 HOUSES COMPLETED AND DELIVERED TO THE FAMILIES
Speaking on the resettlement and food distribution program in Idlib, Açık said that they aim to build a total of 5 thousand houses in the region and that 1,753 houses have been completed and delivered to families by this time.
Stating that they want to announce to everybody that there is an increasing need for sheltered and hygienic briquette houses, that families will not be affected by adverse weather conditions, Açık said, “As you can see, in every rain, tents turn into a state that they will never enter, let alone sitting.”
Stating that the tents were flooded with the worsening winter conditions in the region, Açık said: "Everywhere turned into a river of mud. The food and clothes of the families staying in the tents became unusable. We also have to show our guests the situation and strive to increase the number of briquette houses. With the support of our nation, we bring our families struggling to survive in a sea of mud to a warm home. The more support we receive, the more we will be able to move our families to more comfortable homes."
Within the scope of the program, families in need were provided with food, winter clothes and fuel, and the families whose tents remained in the mud after the flood incident were moved to the houses built by Turkey Religious Foundation of 1+1 and 30 square meters, including a toilet, bathroom and kitchen.
