Thousands of citizens walked from Kocatepe Mosque to Sıhhiye Square after the evening prayer with the 'Be a light to Gaza, family march' held in Ankara by many NGOs under the leadership of the United Family Platform.

Citizens reacted to the massacre committed by Israel in Gaza by holding torches and lights in their hands.

“TODAY, 130 CHILDREN ARE KILLED IN GAZA”

In the press statement made by Rabia Doğan on behalf of the Family Association and United Family Platform after the march, Doğan pointed out that more than 500 families were destroyed as a result of Israel's attacks.

"We are mothers, fathers, spouses and children! We are the family that died under the bombs! We are here to stand against the occupying Israel, which has committed the world's largest genocide since October 7! Because, first of all, we are humans! Israel's genocidal regime, which has committed hundreds of massacres in lands that do not belong to it since 1948, is again violating all the rules of war. The invaders are destroying all family members, mother, father, baby, child, young and old, one by one. Hundreds of families are gone today! Mothers who survived the bombs are left without children, children without mothers, defenseless and alone in the middle of the war! Today, 130 children are killed a day in Gaza! While babies are shaking in Gaza hospitals, the truth is dying once again!" Doğan said.

“MILLIONS OF PEOPLE WITH CONSCIENCE IN THE WORLD ARE ON THE STREETS TO SAY STOP TO GENOCIDE”

Pointing out that after the two great world wars, humanity stood by and watched all the values and rules it set for itself being bombed, Doğan stated that another massacre was watched on live broadcast around the world.

"Nowhere is safe in Gaza right now! The healthcare system has completely collapsed. No electricity, no water, no fuel, no eating or drinking facilities! More importantly, no one in Gaza is guaranteed to survive! Our homes, where we feel safest, have turned into graves for Gazans. Stop, think, participate, stand against before the whole Gaza turns into a cemetery! From London to New York, from Warsaw to Madrid, from Tokyo to Beirut, from The Hague to Berlin, millions of conscientious people around the world are on the streets to stop Israel's genocide and impose sanctions on Israel," Doğan added.

“WE WILL NOT BE SILENCE UNTIL THE WHOLE WORLD ACCEPTS THAT ISRAEL IS A MURDERER”

Pointing out that they marched in Ankara to shed light on Gaza and announce their support to the whole world, Doğan asked what the world was waiting for to intervene in what was happening in Gaza.

"More than half of those who died under the bombs were women and children! We invite all people with heart and conscience, all humanity, to stand by Palestine and be a voice for Gaza! Which painting will remind you of your humanity, forgotten values and international standards? The whole world and the occupying Israel should know this; we will not be silent! We will not remain silent until justice and order come to the holy land! We will not remain silent until the whole world one day accepts that Israel is a murderer!" Doğan said.
