Three prisoners were accidentally killed by Israeli soldiers yesterday as the Israeli-Hamas clashes began on October 7. Protesting Israeli prisoners' families call on Netanyahu's government to “urgently” agree on prisoner swap.

Hostages and Disappeared Families Forum, formed by the families of Israeli prisoners held in Gaza since October 7, gathered in the area they called "Hostages Square" in front of the Israeli army headquarters in Tel Aviv and made a statement.

Hundreds of Israelis also came to the area to support the families.

The Israeli army's announcement yesterday that it "accidentally" killed 3 Israeli prisoners in Gaza increased calls in Israel for a prisoner exchange agreement to be reached with HAMAS, the Palestinian resistance movement in Gaza, and the return of the prisoners.

Families of prisoners gathered in the square announced that they expect the government to present a plan for the release of prisoners in Gaza.

Ruby Chen, whose son Itay Chen (19) is held captive in Gaza, said in her speech on behalf of the families that, as the families of the captives, they want the Israeli government's "War Cabinet" to meet with them and tell them "which offer is on the table" regarding the prisoner exchange agreement.

Stating that the War Cabinet and Prime Minister Netanyahu avoid meeting with the families of captives, Chen, who also has US citizenship, said, "It is easier to meet with US President Joe Biden than to meet with the War Cabinet."

The Israeli prisoner's relative held up the hourglass he was carrying and warned, "We don't have time, that's why I'm walking around with this hourglass both here and in the USA. Time is running out for the prisoners."

Another Israeli, Dany Elgarat, whose brother was held captive in Gaza, stated that "those who sent them there are responsible for the incident in which 3 Israeli prisoners were killed," not the Israeli soldiers who killed them.

Elgarat said that they would "set up a camp" in front of the Ministry of Defense headquarters in Tel Aviv until "the Israeli government announces a prisoner exchange plan with HAMAS."
