Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the fact that the permits of the prisoners who have been in open prisons since May 31, 2020, which have been extended 12 times, will no longer be extended, worrying a significant part of the society, especially families. It is feared that approximately 100,000 inmates will go back to prison after a two-year hiatus, which will lead to the deterioration of the established homes and businesses. Families want a permanent solution for inmates who have adapted to life for two years, mixed with children and have a job.
APPROXIMATELY 100,000 PEOPLE WILL GO BACK TO PRISON AGAIN
Due to the pandemic, the 12 times extended leave of prisoners in open prisons since May 31, 2020 will no longer be extended. Prisoners currently on leave must surrender to prisons by June 1, 2022. An arrest warrant will be issued for those who do not surrender to the prison, and they will be considered fugitives. If no new steps are taken, as of June 1, approximately 100,000 inmates will go back to prison after a two-year hiatus.
THEY WANT AN ARRANGEMENT THAT DOESN'T DESTROY HOME
After the announcement of the General Directorate of Prisons and Detention Houses, tens of thousands of convicts and their families became worried. It is stated that the re-entry of people who have been outside for 2 years, adapting to life and establishing a home and business will cause a wreck. Families, on the other hand, demand that the government find a permanent solution for the prisoners who have established a new order. Families, who do not want the established lives to be destroyed again, want an arrangement in which homes and jobs will not be disrupted.
