CHP Sivas Deputy Ulaş Karasu visited the temporary Soil Products Office (TMO) in Hafik with the Chairman of Sivas Hafik Chamber of Agriculture Osman Karakaş.
Making a statement after listening to the grievances of wheat producers, Karasu said, "With the beginning of the harvest season in Sivas, the suffering of our farmers has also begun. Our farmer who has been trying to harvest for a month; It has serious problems and difficulties especially in selling wheat. In the bill we submitted to the Turkish Grand National Assembly on June 19, we stated that the Sivas region received heavy rainfall and rust disease occurred in our crops. The authorities, who did not take any precautions at that time, are unfortunately dragging our farmers at the office doors today. Even though the prices announced this year are very low, our farmer is unable to pay for his one year's labor to the office, despite the fact that the necessary hikes are not made despite the input costs. Our farmer, who cannot sell his wheat for 8 liras, has to sell wheat to the merchant for 4 and a half liras and 4 liras. A kilo of wheat does not make a cup of tea price."
Osman Karakaş, President of Hafik Chamber of Agriculture, said, "We get a lot of complaints here at the office every day. How many times have we mentioned that he buys non-standard wheat. We called all the lawmakers in our district. We searched but couldn't find any of them. We came, we went, we reported it as a report. Take our non-standard wheat, a kilo of wheat is not worth a tea or a loaf of bread. Whoever we called, we could not find a solution to our problems. We want a solution as soon as possible. We want the property of this nation to be taken. It's cheap, but the government buys it. We are calling out to our President from here; Let them find a solution to the problems of this nation. A farmer, who said that his wheat was not bought by TMO, complained to Karasu with the following words:

I have two tractors, I did not get off the tractor for two months. I planted my crops day and night. I have spent 1 million now, it is worth 600 thousand liras. Am I going to pay 400 thousand lira out of my own pocket? Forget my labor. I will pay 400 thousand lira out of my pocket. Banks are starting to call right now. They said one month, one and a half, two months, the money lies. I passed the money, our product does not pass so we can get our money. Shame on you. I voted for the AK Party with my whole family for 21 years. There is no need for this nation to be so devastated. My vote is not for them anymore. Who will take care of our problems?
