Noting that there were workers who were excluded from the scope of the tender specifications for the cadres given to subcontracted workers in the past, Ülkem Confederation of Workers' Unions (Ülkem-İş) Deputy Chairman Fatih Öksüz pointed out that all subcontracted workers should be recruited before the grievances experienced in the past are experienced again.
“90 THOUSAND NUMBER OF WORKERS ARE FAR FROM MEETING EVEN THE NUMBER OF WORKERS WORKING IN SEEs”
Pointing out that the figure of 90 thousand given by Minister Bilgin was insufficient, Öksüz stated that the given figure could lead to new grievances, and said, “What we understand from the Minister's statement, there will be many colleagues who will suffer again in the arrangement to be made. The number of 90 thousand workers is far from even meeting the number of subcontracted workers working in State Economic Enterprises (SEEs). In order for this problem to fall from the agenda of the country, it is necessary to recruit subcontracted workers working in all institutions.”
“MUNICIPAL AND PROVINCIAL ADMINISTRATION EMPLOYEES SHOULD BE REGISTERED TO 4-D STAFF”
Pointing out that the staff arrangement made in 2018 caused the victimization of the subcontracted workers working in the municipality and special provincial administrations should be eliminated, Öksüz stated that the cadres of the aggrieved workers should be replaced with 4-D, and said, “The subcontracted workers working in the municipal and special provincial administrations have been employed in privileged companies instead of the 4-D permanent staff. These workers do not have job security and they fear being fired during election periods. Workers working in municipalities and special provincial administration companies before the election should also be transferred to 4-D permanent staff without discrimination.”
