Logic was one of the most important lessons taught in madrasahs during the Ottoman period. It was first addressed as a science by Aristotle, one of the important names in the history of philosophy. It is very difficult to talk about the importance given to the science of logic in the education system we have today. One of the most important features that distinguish human beings from other living things is that they are a thinking creature, but thinking does not mean that they have the ability to think rationally. Although it is not a necessity to take the science of logic formally in order to be rational, it is very important to teach logic as a science in order to strengthen all sciences and to progress with more confident steps in other sciences. When it comes to logic, thought, word and reason come to mind. The power of rhetoric gains meaning with the correct use of mind and words.
Logic can be defined as the mathematics of thinking correctly and using reason correctly. When thought and reason are used correctly, it is seen that the effect of rhetoric naturally increases. At the same time, logic is defined as the science that protects the human mind, thoughts and language from making mistakes. The way to think correctly, to reach the unknown by starting from the known, is through the science of logic, that is, logic also means reasoning. The most famous logicians known in the Islamic world are Farabi, Ibn-i Sina and Fahreddin Razi. In the history of Islam, there have been scholars who oppose logic and even claim that the science of logic is haram.
People whose word is respected and heard by everyone are known for being rational. People who are appreciated by everyone with their attitudes and behaviors are also referred to as "acting very logically". Although the science of logic was taught in madrasahs for years in the Ottoman Empire, it is a very valuable science that has existed since the very beginning of human history, although it is given as a lesson in the educational system of the period we live in. What is expected of people is that they make sense in all areas of life. One of the areas where the effects of logic are most obvious is the art of oratory.
Oratory is the art of good speaking. Every person speaks, but not all speaking orators. Being an orator is not only related to public speaking, but also to speaking effectively and beautifully. While researches reveal that an effective rhetoric is caused by many factors, it emphasizes that the most effective item stems from the belief of the speaker in the subject he tells. Some studies even show this rate at the level of 75 percent. Although an orator speaks well, uses his gestures and gestures well, and has a good command of modern rhetoric techniques, his belief in the subject and thus his dominance overcomes all conditions.
At this point, it is useful to consider the power of logic in speech. In order for logic to come into play in addressing, belief in the subject must be presented with a solid logic. A well-researched, learned, and personally believed speech can only be effective, but such speech can mobilize audiences. Throughout history, all leaders who have led their cases to the masses, who have their names inscribed in memories and documents, have been leaders who speak with faith, faith, reason and logic. Their speeches were approved not only by their supporters but also by their opponents. Over the years, his speeches have continued to be conveyed from heart to language and from heart to heart. Most of the time, they were not limited to the period they lived in, and continued to be remembered with appreciation afterwards.
The deceased Necmettin Erbakan hodja is a complete example in this sense. His thoughts, discourses and way of life have left us as a logic entrusted to us how the religion of Islam should be lived in the modern world.
