The statement of the Minister of Labor and Social Security, "Turkey is no longer a poor country", aroused the anger of the people, who had difficulties even in meeting their basic needs, and reactions began to rise from almost all quarters. The people, left to hunger and poverty, are aware that the political sector is trying to cover up their grievances by using untrue expressions, and they are preparing to answer this in the elections.

Although we are familiar with this attitude of politicians for a long time, because they reflect the picture as they want, not as it is, and they want to protect their seats by producing virtual successes. As a matter of fact, today, instead of understanding the public, our administrators draw attention to the buildings, roads, bridges and shelves of the markets and try to convey the message that everything is fine. The shelves of the markets and the market stalls may be filled to the brim, but the main thing here is what is in the bag in the hands of the citizen. Is not it?

Economic prosperity could not be achieved in countries that could not gain their political and economic independence, politicians in these societies are disconnected from the people, they see them only as election materials. They talk about Omar's (r.a.) justice in the election squares, join the crowd, shake hands and make good-sounding promises, but when they come to power, the people can only see these people on screens or at pompous banquets.

In countries that have not gained their political independence and have become foreign-dependent, inequality in income distribution increases rapidly, and while the rich multiply their wealth, the poor have to pay a price to keep this happy minority alive. The natural resources, agricultural wealth, mines and factories of these societies are completely under the control of external centers and peoples are sacrificed to internal and external calculations. The country is not independent in foreign policy, conflicts that will trigger polarization dominate in domestic politics, and the cost of all these is charged to the public.

In this chaos environment, politicians cannot create a sharing system and offer social welfare to the service of a handful of elites. Managers who have been trained in these societies and who have merit are removed from the people with all kinds of intrigues, and a way is made for people who will rule the state with a crone-sergeant relationship. And the managers don't really care if all the institutions and organizations of the country are sold, the debt burden gradually increases, the imbalance in income distribution is at the extreme points, and the impoverishment reaches its peak. Even if they see that the house is on fire, they say that the sun is outside and continue to act.

Today, our people have difficulties in meeting their clothing, shelter, education, health and socio-cultural needs and they have to work in a second or even a third job. However, our administrators do not want to see the suffering of the people and they make statements that poverty has disappeared.

The people, hurt by these statements, ask:

Well, if there is no poverty, then why do we have difficulty meeting even our basic needs such as food, drink and shelter? Why are my country's smart kids trying to cover the West for education or work? Why are the homeless, the unemployed, the debtors increasing? Why is the number of people receiving social and economic support increasing day by day? All these questions are always asked and the answer can never be found. Because the rulers who come with rich promises do not have a problem to solve the problems of the peoples, they only try to protect the seats on which they lean.
