Firefighters, who are on duty 24/7 to ensure the safety of life and property of the people of Istanbul, receive advanced rescue training in İnceğiz Caves to improve their knowledge and skills. The firefighters, who were trained like a commando, stayed in the area where they were trained for 2 days. Istanbul Fire Department gave "Advanced Rescue Training" to firefighters in 3 courses in the last quarter of 2022. The training practices in question took place in the İnceğiz Caves in Çatalca. A total of 33 firefighters in each lap received advanced rescue training.
THEY DEVELOP THEIR SKILLS IN DIFFICULT CONDITIONS
Providing information on the subject, Fire Brigade Training Center Chief Fatih Bilgin said, “We haven't been able to provide advanced rescue training for a while. Because we were giving basic firefighting training to our new friends. Now that those trainings are over, we have started advanced rescue training. Here, we develop the skills of firefighters in difficult conditions, such as rescue from heights.”
THE COMFORT OF THE FIRE PERSONNEL IS ALSO CONSIDERED
Explaining that the firefighters stayed in the Mobile Recreation Vehicle during the training period, Fatih Bilgin said: “We have a mobile rest vehicle that we have prepared for disasters. These are well-equipped vehicles for the rest of the personnel working in the field during disasters. Vehicles where 30 people can be accommodated in the form of a ward, where they can meet their basic needs such as heating, sink, bathroom, washing machine. Now we are staying in these vehicles in the İnceğiz Caves, which we came to for educational purposes.”
