Eren Sayoğlu, who has been running a bakery in Osmaniye for 30 years, stated that there is a high demand for stale bread from the citizens and said, “They buy the bread from the yesterday for half the price. We sell 150-200 stale breads a day. In the past, we had a lot of stale bread, 500-1,000. We would go and give it to the fish, we would throw it into the river. Now, there is no bread left from the yesterday, we give it to people. I have been a baker for 30 years, it is the first time that stale bread is selling out.”
Eren Sayoğlu, who has been running a bakery in Osmaniye for 30 years, stated that stale bread is in demand and they sell it. Sayoğlu said, “It was affording before the increase in the minimum wage, but unfortunately it does not afford after the increase in the minimum wage. Normally, the bread should be 6 Turkish Liras (TL). According to the new minimum wage, it should be 6 TL. Our expenses, our costs have increased a lot.”

Eren Sayoğlu saying, “There are 50-60 expenses in the making of a bread until it is produced. This is also a burden, that is, it increases the cost. Those who bought 2 loaves reduced it to 1, those who bought 3 breads reduced it to 2. We also have a hung bread event, our sensitive citizens are coming. They leave a certain amount of money, we hang it on the hanger. We are already selling our stale bread. Citizens are in demand for it now, they buy the bread of yesterday at half price. We sell 150-200 stale bread in 1 day. In the past, we had a lot of stale bread, 500-1,000. We would go and give it to the fish, we would throw it into the river.
