FOOD PRICES CONTINUE TO INCREASING
While the expenditure required for milk, yoghurt and cheese increased by 4 liras compared to the previous month, to 2 thousand 771 liras, there was an increase of 1,195 liras in the last one-year period.
The amount of money that should be spent for fruit increased by 182 lira in May and by 441 lira compared to the same month of the previous year and became 980 lira.
Vegetable expenditures decreased by 176 liras compared to the previous month, and increased by 530 liras compared to the same month of the previous year and became 1,363 liras.
The expenditure required for products such as bread, flour and pasta increased by 8 liras in May to 1,086 liras.
Rice and bulgur expenditures increased by 75 liras compared to the previous month, and by 289 liras in the last year, and became 532 liras. The expenditure required for oil increased by 37 liras to 337 liras.
NON-FOOD EXPENDITURES ALSO INCREASED
According to the research, which also includes the price increases in non-food needs, four people's clothing and footwear expenditures increased to 996 liras in May, while their accommodation expenditures were 4 thousand 206 liras, household goods expenditures were 2 thousand 737 liras, and health expenditures were 905 liras.
Transportation expenditures increased to 5 thousand 200 liras, communication expenditures were 831 liras, entertainment and cultural expenditures were 717 liras, education expenditures 459 liras, holiday-hotel expenditures 2 thousand 23 liras.
