Reigning Turkey champions Besiktas are expected to sign former Fenerbahce player Jeremain Lens, club chairman Fikret Orman announced late Friday.
Orman, in an interview he gave to sports channel BeIN Sports, said Lens could come to Turkey on Saturday "to finish off details about his contract."
"Lens is a player that we want. He also wants Besiktas. He played in Turkey for a season. Good things come to those who wait," said Orman.
Besiktas boss also said that the club expects Lens to start training on Monday or Tuesday.
Local media in Turkey reported that Besiktas will pay €5 million ($5.9 million) to Sunderland for this transfer to be completed.
Lens played for Fenerbahce last season, where he was loaned from English Premier League side Sunderland.
29-year-old Dutch winger made 36 appearances for Besiktas' rival club Fenerbahce, scored 5 goals and assisted 17 times.
Besiktas recently announced signing of Spanish striker Alvaro Negredo from Spanish club Valencia. They had also signed former Real Madrid centre-back Pepe in early July.
