While there are approximately 15 thousand workers working in the General Directorate of Forestry, the regulation regarding temporary workers was brought to the Parliament.

"Öz Orman-İş" Chairman Settar Aslan, who stated that they had heard about an increase in the working hours of the workers in the regulation to be made regarding the workers, stated that the forest workers were waiting for a staff instead of a time increase.

While approximately 15,000 forest workers are employed under the General Directorate of Forestry, these workers work as temporary workers.

"Öz Orman-İş" Chairman Settar Aslan, stating that he has heard about the future of the regulation regarding the extension of the working hours of forest workers in the regulation on the situation of temporary workers brought to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, stated that it is mandatory for the workers to be recruited and called.

Drawing attention to the regulations made, Arslan stated that the struggles will continue until the right to cadre is achieved.

"When we look at the regulations, we hear that a 12-month extension will be made for our 14,781 workers. We would like to remind you in advance that we will not compromise our struggle until our workers become permanent workers. We are calling out to our state and our parliament from here; Do not imprison our worker's working hours between the employer's two lips, give the good news of the state's security of the worker, who is under the command of the state, to be permanent," he said.

“OUR EMPLOYEES HAVE NO COST OF STAFFING”

Stating that they know that there is no difference between permanent employment and the extension of working hours to 12 months, Arslan noted that it is important for workers to feel safe.

"It saddens our workers that our government, which employs hundreds of thousands of workers, gives 12 months to forestry workers instead of cadres. There is no cost for our permanent worker who works for 9 months and 29 days today. In our General Directorate of Forestry, which is a revolving fund organization, the implementation of the norm staff principle is of great importance. For this reason, we remind you that our workers should work as permanent staff," he added.
