Although it is stated that the treatment of Bashir, who has been detained for eight years without a court decision, should continue in the hospital, the Sisi junta continues to keep Bashir in prison. It is concerning that Bashir, who is known to be kept in a solitary cell, will die in dungeons just like Mohammed Morsi.

The Muslim Brotherhood Movement demanded the immediate release of Mohammad Ali Bashir in a statement made recently and reached the Milli Gazete. It was noted in the statement that Bashir's life was at risk, and that the entire responsibility of any consequences that may occur belongs to the coup administration.
In a statement made by Muslim Brotherhood spokesperson Dr. Talat Fehmi, “The Muslim Brotherhood (Ikhwan) movement, requests from the coup administration to immediately release Mohammed Ali Bashir, who was the minister of Local Development under Mohammed Morsi and governor of Menufiye, so that he could be treated in a private hospital due to critical brain surgery. The fact that he has been in detention for eight years without a court decision proves the justification of this demand. Keeping Dr. Bashir in a solitary cell without any humanitarian services puts his life at risk, just like any patient imprisoned under these conditions. We warn you to avoid this risk. All responsibility for any consequences that may occur under these conditions belongs to the coup administration. It is our prayer from Allah Almighty that Dr. Bashir and all the sick prisoners regain their freedom and health as soon as possible. Almighty God is omnipotent. Almighty God is the greatest. The only praise/compliment belongs to Him.”
