The repercussions of the Milli Gazete revealing the corruption in the Ministry of Agriculture, which will cause the public to lose 60 million liras, continue.
While trying to cover up the "Product Verification and Tracking System" (UDTS) corruption worth 60 million TL with false statements, an unfortunate statement came from Mehdi Eker, a former agriculture minister.
Eker sent a statement to our newspaper, claiming that he and those concerned were slandered by not revealing real information and documents in Milli Gazete's news about UDTS corruption.
However, ministry documents revealed how the public was tried to be misled in the UDTS corruption and how the corruption was tried to be covered up with untrue information.
The Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Vahit Kirişci, who found the corruption in the Product Verification and Tracking System (UDTS) of 60 million lira in the Ministry of Agriculture, remained silent when he should have taken action in the courts to prevent public harm.
An unfortunate statement was sent to our newspaper from Mehdi Eker, one of the former Ministers of Agriculture, regarding the 60 million lira UDTS corruption.
In the statement that Eker sent with the claim of informing the public correctly and that he was slandered by so-called fake news, it was meaningful that he tried to cover up the great corruption that was officially detected with the documents of the ministry and the expert report entered in the court records.
In the statement he sent to our newspaper regarding the 60 million lira UDTS corruption news during his ministry, Mehdi Eker did not hesitate to even give false information to the public in order to cover up the facts about corruption, once again demonstrating that Milli Gazete was right in its news about UDTS corruption.
HID THE FACTS FROM THE PUBLIC!
In the statement he sent to our newspaper, Mehdi Eker claimed that during the ministry of Faruk Çelik, who took office after him, the court was given an investigation permission regarding the public loss in the UDTS tender, and as a result of the prosecution investigation, a decision of non-prosecution was given.
Eker, claiming that the prosecutor's office had decided not to prosecute, tried to acquit himself over a decision that was not given, and tried to cover up the 60 million lira corruption that came to the agenda regarding UDTS.
HERE IS THE MINISTRY DOCUMENT DENIING EKER! DOCUMENT 1
The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office requests an investigation permission from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry on 24.04.2017 to take the statements of 8 ministry personnel, as they prevent the realization of the principles of openness and competition in the tender, with illegal, unrealistic reports and transactions and decisions in the UDTS tender.
However, the Guidance and Inspection Presidency does not allow the statements of the ministry personnel to be taken.
In DOCUMENT 1, it is clearly stated in the letter dated 24.01.2018 signed by Mustafa Caygın, Deputy Head of Guidance and Inspection, that contrary to Mehdi Eker's claim, the Undersecretariat did not give permission to investigate the personnel in question.
EXPERT COMMITTEE REPORT HAS ALSO EXPOSED MEHDI EKER! DOCUMENT 2
On the other hand, the findings of the expert committee appointed by the court on the subject reveal how the investigation file against the ministry personnel was closed.
According to the determination of the expert committee, the Ministry of Agriculture does not give the permission to the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office for the investigation requested for the ministry personnel who experienced the UDTS tender and caused public harm, and the prosecutor's office does not object to this decision and closes the file.
IT IS CLOSED BECAUSE THE MINISTRY DOESN'T GIVE THE PERMISSION!
The determination of the expert committee in DOCUMENT 2 and 3 on the subject is as follows:
"The Ministry of Guidance and Inspection Presidency decided not to grant an investigation permission with its decision dated 18.12.2017, the decision not to grant an investigation permission was notified on 30.01.2018, the decision made as a result of the examination of the preliminary examination report of the decision and the documents in its annex was determined to be in accordance with the evidence in the file and the law. In the article dated 16.02.2018 on the issue of whether there was an objection to the decision to the Ministry Guidance and Inspection Presidency and whether there was an objection to the prosecutor's warrant dated 31.01.2018, there was no objection to the decision of 'NO PERMISSION TO INVESTIGATION' and it was stated that the decision was final, and the investigation permission was not granted for the reasons explained. Accordingly, it is understood that the file has been decided to be removed from the process."
PERMISSION TO INVESTIGATION IS NOT GIVEN DURING THE FARUK CELIK PERIOD AND IT WAS HOLD OFF
While not allowing the investigation to be carried out by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the corruption of 60 million liras in UDTS is considered as covering up the corruption, the investigation permission requested by the prosecutor's office was not given by waiting during Faruk Çelik's ministry, and the decision was made in the later Fakıbaba period, who took office. there is also significant.
HOW WILL EKER REPLY AFTER THESE DOCUMENTS?
Both the decision of the Ministry of Guidance and Inspection, signed by Mustafa Caygın, the Deputy Head of Guidance and Inspection at the time, that the ministry did not authorize an investigation, and the findings in the report of the expert committee appointed by the court, explain how Mehdi Eker tried to mislead the public with the statement he sent to our newspaper, claiming that there were so-called false news about him, and how the investigation was not allowed. It was significant that he tried to present the closed file as if it had been closed by the prosecutor's office with the permission of the investigation.

While the current Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Vahit Kirişci, kept silent against the 60 million lira UDTS corruption that entered the court records, it is meaningful that former minister Mehdi Eker tried to cover up the 60 million lira UDTS corruption by distorting the facts and not giving accurate information to the public.
Although the news about the corruption in question was based entirely on the findings of the expert panel who entered the court records, it is also significant that Mehdi Eker claims that there is no real information and document in the news.
However, the Milli Gazete is ready to reveal all the documents regarding the allegations it raises. In case the matter is taken to the court, all these documents will also be presented to the court.
