Two police officers serving as general president protection were withdrawn from the two presidential candidates during the presidential election process.
Saadet Leader Karamollaoğlu reacted to the withdrawal of his protections, saying:
"Normally, a party's general chairman protected by two policemen. During the election, the number of protections for the presidential candidates has been increased. But they took them back. I'm a little surprised, too. In any case Turkey to take such a step because they have come to trust in the strict sense. Everyone knows this; we are faithful people. We know that death is a fact. One day we will deliver this spirit. Is this how we deliver it, that's what we do not know. But just after such a simple matter of choice, I refer the agenda to the conscience of the nation.
