While the milk producer has been producing at a loss for months due to the wrong policies applied, no company has been able to speak out, and when the reference price determined by the National Dairy Council was deactivated, when the milk producer started to take their rights, it was revealed that the big milk companies stepped in to suppress milk prices and threatened the producer. It is noteworthy that a foreign company leads the companies that threaten the milk producer. The fact that the French lactalis company could make the threat that it could not do to the milk producer in its own country to the milk producer in Turkey, also revealed what kind of a game was played on the country's livestock.

THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNION COMPLAINS THE FRENCH COMPANY TO THE PRESIDENCY OF THE REPUBLIC

Çanakkale Agricultural Cooperatives Regional Union President Mehmet Özkurnaz complained the French lactalis Company, which entered the Turkish market by purchasing Ak Food from Yıldız Holding in 2015, to the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the Ministry of Commerce, the Competition Authority and the French Embassy in Ankara, especially the Presidency's Directorate of Communications, due to its practices that threaten the producer by demanding an end to this tyranny.

THREATENING ITS COMPETITORS BY NOT SELLING MILK IN MAJOR MARKETS!

Pointing out that the French company lactalis, the owner of the Ak Food brand, threatens rival industrialists with a mafia approach and prevents the sale of milk to companies other than itself, Özkurnaz noted that the rival industrialists of the lactalis company are openly threatened to be prevented the sale of ornaments in some supermarkets with the largest network in Turkey if they buy milk from the region.

Özkurnaz saying, “This company, which tyrannically equals its competitors, forces the producer to sell milk below the current milk price,” and he added, “with this aspect, it both makes the producer aggrieved by buying cheap milk by eliminating its competitors in milk sales, and the consumer by selling the milk that he bought cheaply at a high price by monopolizing the market, and negatively affects the market.”

“ACCEPTANCE OF MAFIATIC ATTEMPTS NOT POSSIBLE FOR US”

Emphasizing that this mafia entrepreneurship in food production is absolutely unacceptable, Özkurnaz said in his complaint: “This understanding is literally a colonial mentality. We expect this understanding that harms Turkey-France relations to come to an end, and the authorities of France, the cradle of democracy, to prevent this tyranny by making the necessary warnings to this colonial company.”
