Even in Bursa, which is the production base, it is not possible to find peaches under 15 liras on the market stalls, while figs are burned in the markets, while citizens who turn to the markets with the hope of cheaper are faced with the labels of "10 liras for half a kilo". Grapes, which are the most consumed fruit on the table these days, are worth 10 liras.

“HIGH CHAMPION IN THE MARKET PEACH FOR 18 LIRA”

The price of figs, which are offered for sale in the neighborhood markets in Kayseri, is on the pocket. Bulent Çukurçam, the marketer, said that the product with the highest price increase in the market this week is figs.

Marketer Bülent Çukurçam said that the champion of the price hike in the market is figs.

Cukurcam, "This week, we are selling the champion fig for 20 TL. This year, figs were scarce, and the price is high because they are scarce. Our customers say the price is high, but our products are quite affordable compared to a grocery store or market. The market is much more convenient than the grocery store. There are peaches up to 18 TL in the market," he said.

Figs, which were sold for 10 TL in the previous period, are sold for 20 TL this year in the neighborhood markets that serve citizens in different parts of the city every day of the week. Market shopkeepers say that the price of figs is high and that citizens rarely demand figs. Stating that the prices in the market are quite normal, but only figs are sold at a higher price this week, the marketer Olcay Yıldırım said, "Prices in our markets are quite normal. However, it is expensive because the citizens have no purchasing power. At the moment, the price of figs is high, but there is none. It's high right now because it isn't. So people want to buy, but there are no figs. That's why the price naturally goes up. It seems high because it is grown less, goes to export and is less in the domestic market. Everything is cheap. Tomatoes, peppers, eggplants are cheap. Only a little fruit was valuable this year because of production. Since there was no production, the fruit became valuable. Peach is still sold for 10 TL. Grapes are sold for 4-5 TL at an affordable price. The product that cannot be in this way becomes valuable."

Yıldırım stated that prices are constantly changing due to peddlers, products deteriorate and nothing goes right.

"I am 50 years old, I have been a marketer since I was 10 years old. As far as I know and live, there has been a peddler problem in Kayseri for 40 years. However, the law is clear and peddling is prohibited, peddling is prohibited. Today, there are tomatoes and eggplants under the tree in every park. There is a seller in front of every mosque. There is no need to mention the number of parks and mosques in Kayseri anymore. Here we rent the ground, pay our taxes, employ workers. However, the mobiles come before us and become rivals. As such, there is a certain decrease in business potential. This is not a good situation. Products spoil and products are sold for money that should not be sold. The price of the product is constantly changing, one day it is cheap, the next day it is expensive. In other words, nothing goes in line because of the mobile. We invite our citizens to the markets. Our Kayseri people are accustomed to the market," he added.

"TIME CHAMPION FIG"

Marketer Bülent Çukurçam, on the other hand, said that the champion of the price hike in the market is figs.

Cukurcam, "This week, we are selling the champion fig for 20 TL. This year, figs were scarce, and the price is high because they are scarce. Our customers say the price is high, but our products are quite affordable compared to a grocery store or market. The market is much more convenient than the grocery store. There are peaches up to 18 TL in the market. We sell the best quality peach in the market for 10 TL. We welcome our customers to the market, our prices are very reasonable," he added.
