Even if these images are presented as "they did not comply with the Covid-19 measures" under the restriction conditions we are in, and everyone focuses on social distance and the mask, the insidious danger is ignored.

Everywhere, from the most remote villages to the most populous cities across the country, there is officially a "gambling pandemic" among people of all age groups. While dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic, the more destructive gambling pandemic that has sidelined the society is bypassed!

A NEWS FROM KOCAELI, ANOTHER ONE FROM SIVAS

Gambling news coming from all over the country almost every day came yesterday from Kocaeli and Sivas.

It was learned by the Kocaeli Police Department teams that covid-19 measures were not followed in a villa in Kartepe district. In the inspection, it was determined that 32 people in the villa violated the curfew and gambled by not obeying the distance and mask rule.

Eight people, aged between 28 and 51, were caught gambling in the raid of an abandoned building by gendarmerie teams in the district of Suşehri in Sivas. The suspects were fined 38,440 lira in total for gambling and violating the Covid-19 measures.

GAMBLING IS EVERYWHERE NOW!

A 10-year "revenue sharing" model was adopted between the Turkey Wealth Fund, which holds the National Lottery, and the Sisal-Şans Joint Venture, and great targets(!) were set to increase revenue and reach more people.

Now, gambling games such as Numeric Lotto, Super Lotto, Ten Number, Lucky Ball, Scratch Win can be accessed from the website of the National Lottery or by downloading them to mobile phones. However, legitimate(!) betting sites are also allowed to operate as they wish, and even to sponsor sporting events. In an environment where gambling has become so normal and widespread, society is also drifting into this trouble.
