İhsan Açık, the vice president of the Board of Trustees of the Turkiye Diyanet Foundation, said that they are trying to heal the wounds of the Palestinian people, who have been struggling to survive under very difficult conditions for years and who are trying to stand firmly against the endless persecution of Israel.

Stating that the houses of many people in Gaza were destroyed as a result of the recent attacks and dozens of Palestinians, including children, were martyred, Açık, "The first qibla of Muslims, our brothers who do not leave the Masjid al-Aqsa alone, which gives way to inheritance, scatters light around it with its pulpit, and struggle to resist the raids of Israeli soldiers, our brothers are subjected to inhuman treatment and persecution. The region currently needs the most medical supplies, bed and ambulance. In addition to these, there is a need for rental houses and household items where we can settle our brothers whose houses are destroyed. As the Turkish Religious Foundation, we mobilized to meet all these needs," he said.
Açık, informing that since the first day of the invasion in Palestine, the Turkish Religious Foundation has delivered aid in the amount of 235 million TL in many areas such as mosque construction, furnishing, water well, qurban and emergency humanitarian aid works, "We have completed the construction of 9 mosques in Gaza in order to keep the adhanans silent. There are mosques that have just been demolished as a result of the attacks. Our brothers call for prayer by going up on the rubble of the mosque and reciting the adhan in order to make the call to prayer heard even under these conditions," he added.
