According to the news of the media institution Evangelische Pressedienst, based on the German government's response to the Left Party's parliamentary question, 258 anti-Islamic crimes were recorded in Germany until the end of June. This number was determined as 142 in the same period of 2022.
ANTI-ISLAMIC CRIMES THREATENING LIFE
While attacks on mosques in Germany make Muslims nervous, institutional racism also hinders education, social life and employment of Turks.
In the first half of the year, 17 people were injured in the attacks carried out within the scope of crimes against Islam.
Most of the crimes in question were committed by racist rightists.
Kemal Ergün, Chairman of the Islamic Community Milli Gorus (IGMG) Organization, headquartered in Cologne, emphasized that the rate of detecting the perpetrators of attacks on Muslim institutions and mosques in Germany is extremely low.
"This is a serious problem. We expect state security agencies to examine every piece of evidence to the finest detail and identify the perpetrators", Ergün said.
Burhan Kesici, President of the German Islamic Council, also stated that the intensification of attacks on mosques in recent times has made them nervous.
