Eyes are on December for Retirement Age Victims (EYT)… While the Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Bilgin and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan pointed to December in their statements regarding the studies, the members of EYT stated that they could not afford another delay and demanded that definite steps be taken to solve the problem.
In their statements, Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Bilgin and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan pointed to the month of December for the Law on the Retirement Age Victims, which is awaited by approximately 5 million people. Regarding the continuous postponement of the process, while EYT victims fear a new postponement, they continue to experience uneasiness about the uncertainties regarding the process.
“AS EYT VICTIMS, WE HAVE HESITATIONS”
Pointing out that the eyes are on the day the work will be concluded, Gönül Boran, President of the EYT Federation, also stated that the public does not have enough information about the work, and said, “Minister Bilgin has recently always pointed to the month of December. The President announced that the announcement will be made in January. As EYT victims, we are hesitant about both this uncertainty and the lack of disclosure of the details of the study. We are not in a position to bear a delay.”

Pointing out that the only known thing about the studies on victimization is December, Boran stated that in order for the victims and the public to have more information, they should be informed about the studies as soon as possible and said, “Everyone says December, but no other explanation comes. There is only one formula. The solution to the problem is possible by removing the article that causes victimization in the law. By including the victims of internship and apprenticeship in the solution, all problems will be solved.”
