The government and unions have come to an agreement over a salary rise offer for millions of civil servants and retired civil servants in Turkey, covering 2018 and 2019.
According to a statement by the Labor Ministry, both sides agreed on the 4 percent salary rise for the six months of 2018 and another 3.5 percent for the remaining six months of the year.
In 2019, civil servants will get 4 percent rise for the first six months of the year and 5 percent for the other six months, the statement said.
It added that the signing ceremony between the two sides will be held on Aug. 22.
