Felicity (Saadet) Party Women's Branch Chairwoman Ebru Asiltürk evaluated the latest situation regarding the "Necmettin Erbakan-Forest of Hope" project, which started on October 27, in our newspaper.

Noting that the "Necmettin Erbakan-Forest of Hope" project covered the whole of Turkey, Asiltürk stated that they had realized many projects on a local scale before this project.

"While we were doing this study, one of our approaches was that it was done simultaneously and on the Turkey's slope. We are doing this work together with our youth and children. Even though women's branches organize it, our children and youth are the directors of this work," she said.

“PROJECT STARTED 2 WEEKS AGO”

Reminding that the project was announced on October 27 and the work started, Asiltürk underlined that almost all of the citizens were reached with the work done in Turkey.

"While the Necmettin Erbakan-Forest of Hope study continues its work in the field in 60 provinces of Turkey, it also continues in its districts. We have reached a figure of over 10,000 saplings with our work in 60 provinces and almost all of our districts. Our project started 2 weeks ago on October 27. We have reached this figure in a short time with the valuable contributions of our citizens," she added.

“WE WANTED TO HAVE A FOREST IN WHERE EVERYONE'S HOPE REGAIN”

Drawing attention to the loss of green space in Turkey for years, Asiltürk said, "We did not lose our forests only to fires. Over the years, we have lost a very serious loss of green space for the sake of the interests of several companies, for the sake of wrong zoning policies. With this study, we wanted to draw attention to this issue. In addition to these, we wanted to show our sensitivity to regain lost values and resources, together with restoring the lost nature. We wanted it to be a forest where everyone's hope will grow with a sapling. We wanted to raise the hope that everyone can regenerate whatever they have lost. That's why we named it hope."
