Public Inspector lawyer Şeref Malkoç shared the report they prepared with the public by examining the violations experienced by immigrants on the Greek border.
Stating that violations by Greece have hurt their conscience, Malkoç called on Greece to stop its violations and stressed that all the ombudsmen and human rights institutions in the world should act.
The Ombudsman Institution examined the right violations against immigrants who went to the border with Greece with the opening of the doors and faced harsh intervention by the Greek security forces. The report prepared after the examination is the Public Chief Auditor lawyer Şeref Malkoç shared with the public at a press conference.
THE REPORT WILL BE SENT TO ALL OMBDUSMAN OF THE WORLD
Stating that Greece used excessive and disproportionate power to immigrants who wanted to cross its borders, and that even death and injuries were found in the local and foreign press, Malkoç noted that their independent and impartial institutions went to the border and examined the situation there.
Malkoç stated that they would send the report they prepared as an ombudsman and that Greece was found to be in violation of international human rights conventions and EU law, to all other ombudsmen, human rights institutions and NGOs around the world.
In the observations made as a result, the health of expectant immigrants at the border, on the basis of meeting the needs and landmarks such as nutrition, Turkey, noted that in the case mobilization of public institutions and Malkoç, "It has been observed that local villagers also support immigrants in their humanitarian needs, ambulances and a sufficient number of health personnel are present at the area, and passenger buses are available in the area near the border," he said.
"VIOLATIONS MUST END"
Emphasizing that the violations of the violations mentioned in the report were injured, Malkoç concluded his words with the following call: "It should not be forgotten that human rights are for everyone and international contracts aim to guarantee this by loading duties and responsibilities to the parties to the contract. Greece, which is a party to these agreements, should also remember its duties and responsibilities and stop the violations as soon as possible."
