In a tweet on Thursday, Abu Zohri added that the PA’s announcement that its Gaza’s staff would “receive good financial tidings soon after months of punishment is an example of the PA’s policy of extortion as the PA uses the public funds for partisan purposes.”
Abu Zohri warned the Arab and international donors against the PA’s intention to “use their donation for partisan goals.”
Senior PA official Hussein al-Sheikh stated on Wednesday that Gaza’s Fatah members would “hear good financial news from PA President Mahmoud Abbas” in the coming days.
The PA has been imposing punitive measures on the Palestinian people in Gaza since April 2017 that have inflicted serious repercussions on all aspects of life in the impoverished territory.
