HAMAS, which is taking firm steps towards the complete liberation of Palestine from the river to the sea and the eradication of the microbe of Zionism from the face of the earth, celebrates its 34th anniversary.
Founded by Sheikh Ahmed Yasin, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Rantisi, Mahmoud Al-Zahhar and the leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood six days after the start of the first intifada, on 14 December 1987, HAMAS became the honor of the Islamic Ummah with its struggle.
“A MOVEMENT WHOSE LEADER MARTYRED, CANNOT BE DEFEATED”
The HAMAS movement, which has been among the most important actors of the Palestinian resistance since the day it was founded, has been targeted by the Israeli regime.
The Israeli regime, which had a hard time preventing HAMAS's activities, tried every way to make HAMAS lose its power and be defeated.
In this context, the invading Israeli forces, targeting the leaders of the HAMAS movement, martyred many HAMAS leaders such as Sheikh Ahmed Yasin, Abdulaziz Al-Rantisi and Yahya Ayyash.
While the names martyred by the Israeli regime were written in golden letters in the history of the resistance, the bloodshed for the sake of Islam made the resistance even stronger.
Because, as Fathi Shaqaqi, one of the names who martyred for the sake of Jerusalem, said, "A movement whose leader was martyred was absolutely invincible".
HAMAS BRING ISRAEL TO KNEES AT EVERY OPPORTUNITY
The HAMAS movement has caused the Israeli regime to experience unforgettable suffering. In this context, HAMAS has carried out a glorious resistance against the Israeli regime since the day it was founded. Hamas, which has brought the Israeli regime to its knees in every war despite its limited financial means, carried out its last unforgettable attack two years ago. In November 2018, HAMAS, which hit the bus carrying the Zionist Israeli regime soldiers in the east of Jibaliya, killed many invading Zionists. While the image of the bus carrying Zionist soldiers in flames remained in the minds, the occupying Israeli regime confessed to the attack but concealed the death toll.
GAZA, THE BONE OF THE RESISTANCE
The HAMAS movement, which is one of the most important movements in the Palestinian struggle today, came to power with the votes it received in the 2006 election and formed the government under the chairmanship of Ismael Haniya. Despite the important victory of HAMAS in the political arena, the US, EU and Israeli regime did not recognize the election results. On the other hand, the Israeli regime began to impose a blockade on Gaza after the said victory of HAMAS. The continued support of the people of Gaza, who has been under siege for years, to HAMAS stands as the herald of the final defeat that Israel will taste.
The interview we conducted with Mousa Abu Marzouk, one of the leaders of HAMAS, is as follows:
We know the establishment process of HAMAS chronologically. Can we listen to the background of this process from you?
The establishment of HAMAS dates back to the date when its establishment was announced. The Muslim Brotherhood had an influence on the establishment of HAMAS. With the full occupation of Palestine in 1967, Islamic resistance rose. Islamic resistance has grown throughout Palestine. Before HAMAS, Palestinian resistance was carried out by nationalist or leftist movements. As you know, the intifada started after a Jew crushed the Palestinians with a truck and killed them. The Brotherhood Muslim organization, which had been operating secretly in Palestine before the Intifada, established HAMAS together with the Palestinian leaders there. HAMAS emerged with the popular resistance. With the announcement of the establishment of HAMAS, HAMAS leaders began to be arrested. At the beginning of these names was Sheikh Ahmed Yasin. HAMAS lit the fire of resistance throughout the Palestinian territories.
ERBAKAN HODJA WAS A STAR LIKE HIS NAME
You are one of the leading leaders of HAMAS. What would you say about the struggle of the leader of the National Vision Movement, Prof. Dr. Necmettin Erbakan, within the scope of the Palestinian cause?
Our teacher Necmettin Erbakan was a star like his name. He was enlightening the Muslims with his presence. I've been with him many times. Every time I met with Erbakan, I saw him as troubled to support the Palestinian cause. He was trying to make Turkey even bigger. This was also in favor of Palestine. Erbakan Hodja aimed for Turkey to become a leader in the Islamic geography. In this way, he thought that the Jerusalem cause would also be successful. May Allah have mercy on him.
“NORMALIZATIONS MUST BE REJECTED”
What are your expectations from Islamic countries?
Islamic countries should protect the Palestinian cause. We want all Islamic countries to be against Israel. From the media to politics, Israel should be opposed in all areas. Normalizations should be rejected. Joint exercises and projects with Israel should be stopped. We want comprehensive resistance.
We see that the invading Israeli regime has increased its oppression in Palestine in the last period. Will the Palestinian resistance have an answer to Israel?
We have never remained silent in the face of Israel's attacks, and we never will.
“PALESTINE IS FOR ALL MUSLIMS”
We strive for the Palestinians to achieve their human rights. HAMAS started out on the basis of the legitimate rights of the Palestinians. We say that Palestine is all Muslims. This is our basic principle. Our fight is not just a land case. Jerusalem is the first qibla of Muslims and belongs to all Muslims.
“ZIONISTS ARE BOTH UNFAIR AND FEAR OF DEATH”
HAMAS is a movement that has been in solidarity with the Palestinians and has been a great supporter since the day it was founded. At the same time, we see that HAMAS has defeated the Israeli regime every time. What is the secret of HAMAS's success?
The belief of our people, especially our young people, is a huge factor. Our people fearlessly march to martyrdom for the sake of obtaining their rights. This is a very important situation. When we look at the other side, there are people who are both wrong and afraid of death. We have a Muslim population. It is very important that religious people are the standard bearers of our cause.
What is the biggest problem facing the Palestinian resistance?
Our biggest problem is the occupation of our lands. As an occupied people, we have many problems. Our people became refugees as a result of the occupation. You know the atrocities perpetrated by the invaders against the Palestinian people. We face many problems because of these atrocities. We are fighting for a life. We are faced with Zionist projects in Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza. We are fighting against all this. The fact that the Palestinians are not together is also a problem, of course.
