Speaking at the First International Conference held by the Algerian National Construction Movement on Friday , Haniyeh stated: "The withdrawal from Afghanistan is a prelude to its withdrawal from the region."

The Al-Quds’ Battle (the Israeli offensive on Gaza that took place in May) proved that beating the Israeli occupation is possible and the attempts to impose its equations in the region will not succeed, Haniyeh declared.

He stressed: "The wave of normalisation of ties between the Israeli occupation and the other states in the region have reached an end. There will be no more breakthroughs in this regard."

The top Hamas leader stressed that: The normalisation of ties with the Israeli occupation will not give legitimacy to the governments and will not be a bridge for them to the Americans.

Haniyeh said: "The Israeli army is unable to win the battles in the southern front with Gaza and the northern front with Lebanon. The Zionist entity is fragile despite its military superiority. It is living its weakest stages."

The Hamas head recalled the Algerian support for the Palestinians and their cause. "Algeria was one of the very first supporters of the Palestinian revolution, which was ignited in the middle of the 1960s as the first office for Fatah was opened in Algiers," he recounted.

He reiterated the Palestinian support for Algeria and the other African countries, which reject the normalisation of ties with the Israeli occupation and refuse the integration of the Zionists in the region and Africa.
