In a televised interview, Hamadan stressed that his Movement didn’t receive any proposals for an airport or seaport abroad as part of the ceasefire agreement with the Israeli occupation, noting that reaching a ceasefire is a national option.

All Palestinian factions must work on ending the Palestinians’ suffering in Gaza as part of their national duty, Hamadan added.

He stressed that all the Palestinian factions, except Fatah, had agreed unanimously to reach a ceasefire with the Israeli occupation.

Hamadan assured the Palestinian people that if a ceasefire was reached with the Israeli occupation, the Palestinian resistance would not lay down its arms as the Israeli occupation is known for its violation of agreements.

PA’s sanctions on Gaza

The Hamas leader wondered how the Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas could justify his sanctions on Gaza, including denying access of patients to treatment and cutting salaries of the government’s employees.

He noted that the PA’s punitive measures aggravate the Palestinians’ suffering in Gaza and called for the PA to lift the sanctions as soon as possible.

Hamadan confirmed that Abbas puts pressure on the Palestinian resistance to disarm and end resistance of the occupation as part of the deal of the century.

Meanwhile, he called for all concerned parties to exert much effort to push the Israeli occupation to lift its 12-year-siege on Gaza, noting that his movement welcomes any proposal to improve the humanitarian situation in the besieged enclave.

Hamas options

Regarding his the options of his movement if the efforts to reach a ceasefire failed, he stressed that Hamas would preserve the national fabric and unity and continue working towards achieving the internal reconciliation.

He also said that the Israeli occupation would commit a fatal mistake if it foiled the efforts to reach a ceasefire.
