“We are following with deep gratitude your honorable decision to block entry visas for Israeli athletes taking part in an international swimming championship,” Haniya said in a letter sent Friday to Mohammed.

Haniya confirmed that Malaysia’s decision highlighted the country’s historical stances in support of the Palestinian people, who are subjected to Israeli crimes on a daily basis.

The Hamas chief expressed his sincere thanks and gratitude to the Malaysian PM for siding with Palestine and supporting its people’s legitimate struggle against the occupation.

Haniya hailed the stance of Malaysia’s government, people, and NGOs against normalisation with the Israeli Occupation.

The head of Hamas Political Bureau warned against the escalating wave of normalisation with the Israeli Occupation, whose leaders exploit the Arab-Israeli ties to expand settlements, judaize Jerusalem, and commit more crimes against the Palestinian people and desecrate their holy sites.
