Commenting on the US decision to add deputy Hamas chief Saleh al-Aruri to the US terror list, head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Hanyia stated the following:

While the Israeli occupation was perpetrating crimes against the Palestinians and bombing the civilian facilities in Gaza in a blatant violation of all international and UN conventions and treaties, the US administration issued a decision to put Hamas deputy leader on the so-called “terror blacklist” and offered a reward for information about him.

This arbitrary decision completely denies the Palestinian people of their inalienable right to end the occupation and return to their homeland because the Trump admistraton does nor respect the Palestinian people’s will to elect their leaders who would be able to uphold their national constants and rights.

The US decision to add leaders from Hamas, the Palestinian factions, or other non-Palestinian resistance factions to the so-called ‘terrorist blacklist’ will not deter the Palestinians from resisting the occupation until they return to their homeland and restore their rights.

We are absolutely confident that al-Aruri will not be discouraged by the US decision and will continue performing his duties towards his people and homeland.
