A happy ending was reached in the collective bargaining agreement process signed on behalf of 26,000 social service workers working in the Ministry of Family and Social Services. The process, which has been carried out since October 26, 2021, and the strike decision was made the other day, resulted in the favor of the workers with the signatures.
WHEN THE WORKERS' SIDE DECIDED TO STRIKE, THE TABLE IS ESTABLISHED AGAIN
During the ongoing collective bargaining agreement process between Öz Sağlık-İş and Turkish Heavy Industry and Services Sector Public Employers Union (TÜHİŞ) the demands of the workers' side for both the improvement of existing rights and the addition of new rights were not met. After the strike decision of the union, the employers' union sat on the table again. With the collective bargaining agreement protocol signed at the newly established table, workers who are members of Öz Sağlık-İş Union gained their rights.
SOCIAL SERVICE WORKERS WON
Making an evaluation after the signing of the signatures, Öz Sağlık-İş Union Chairman Devlet Sert said, “Today is a day of victory for veteran workers who send his own child to someone else, who have no one to care for their elderly parents, who work 7-14-21 or even 30 days without blinking. I congratulate once again the struggle for rights of all Social Service workers and wish them good luck.”
