Vahidullah Hashemi, Director of Foreign Relations and Director of Aid Relations at the Ministry of Education of Afghanistan, who came to Turkey for a series of contacts and meetings, visited the Federation of Associations that Value Humanity (IDDEF). Within the scope of the visit, Hashemi, who was a guest of the Colors of the Ummah program on the İDDEF TV YouTube channel, talked about the latest state of education activities in Afghanistan and the work done in the country.
HASHEMI: “WE STARTED A RE-EDUCATION MOBILIZATION IN AFGHANISTAN”
Stating that they started an education campaign both in the city center and in the rural areas of Afghanistan after the occupation, Afghanistan Ministry of Education Foreign Relations Director and Aid Relations Manager Vahidullah Hashemi said, "We are establishing relations with non-governmental organizations around the world that want to help Afghanistan with education, together with our meetings with Muslim countries. Our aim is to work with countries like Turkey in the field of education. There were many schools closed since the beginning of the invasion, especially in rural areas. We have activated the educational activities in schools and madrasahs all over the country. We started these studies with a very serious goal. As Afghanistan Ministry of Education, we want to provide education to all Afghanistan, whether rich or poor. We opened more than 9,000 public centers with international Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs)."
HASHEMI: “WHERE YOU GO TODAY, ALL OF OUR SCHOOLS ARE OPEN”
Stating that Afghanistan's goal is for no child to grow up without education, Hashemi added, "Many children did not have the opportunity to receive education when Afghanistan was under invasion. Schools were under bombardment and many rural schools were destroyed. When there were assassinations and night raids, families could not send their children to school because they die on the way. Because we were not free and we were invaded. But today, no matter which village you go to, our schools are open. With peace, our children can go to school happily. The future of Afghanistan is in the hands of the Ministry of Education and we are working day and night for it. We come to the office with our Minister early in the morning and we work until the evening to spread education throughout our country. Our goal and aim is to ensure that not a single child is deprived of education."
