Muhittin Yıldırım, Chairman of the Association of Religious Officials (DİN-BİR-DER), reacted to the pressure put on students who dance halay with Kurdish songs in a dormitory in Karaman.
Yıldırım, who warned of unity, solidarity and brotherhood, "We condemn the racist and chauvinist attack against the students who have fun dancing the halay accompanied by Kurdish music in Karaman, the city of Yunus Emre, the poet of our country's unity and solidarity, and the poet of love, compassion and mercy," he said.
"WE CONDEMN THIS ATTACK"
Continuing his warnings, Yıldırım said following words:
"Since 2017, we have been organizing 'Brotherhood Bridge' programs between our Eastern and Western regions in order to eliminate the racist and Zionist strife that is wanted to be brought among the brothers and to strengthen our brotherhood on the common ground of Islam by tightening the ranks. As DİN-BİR-DER, which has adopted the principle of connecting the East and the West, the North and the South with tighter ties with these programs, which will be held for the 16th time next month, we condemn this attack on our brotherhood. The investigations opened should be completed as soon as possible and the criminals should be brought to justice and held accountable."
