Head of Turkey’s Religious Affairs Ali Erbas met Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowment, Dawa and Guidance Saleh bin Abdul-Aziz Al ash-Sheikh in Riyadh on Sunday.
Both officials discussed how the potential of both countries could be used for creating global impact.
Erbas underlined the importance of facilitating Islamic training and knowledge, and shared that Turkey’s religious affairs body wants to start new projects as well as maintain existing partnerships with Saudi Arabia.
He invited Saudi students and researchers to continue their studies and research in Turkey.
This was Erbas’ third visit to Riyadh in the last four months. He invited Saudi minister to visit Turkey.
Al ash-Sheikh, on his part, urged both countries to use their potential for delivering the right Islamic message.
"Turkey and Saudi Arabia, as two brotherly country, have huge potential. We should utilize this very well so that we can convey the message of Islam correctly against those who accuse Muslims of terrorism," he said.
