The ‘White Reform’ of the Ministry of Health dashed hopes. The additional payment application introduced in this context brought problems with it.

The reactions to the Additional Payment Regulation, which was initiated by the Ministry of Health last month and called ‘White Reform’, continue to come. The regulation, which was prepared without consulting health professional chambers, associations and unions, led to deepening the problems rather than ending them. The reform draws great criticism because of the distinction between physicians and institutions.

“DISCRIMINATION IS DEEPENDED”

A reaction to the regulation came from the nurses. Making a statement to our newspaper on the subject, the Turkish Nurses Association stated that the regulation as a whole provides an increase in the wages of health workers far from raising them to a humane level. The association underlined that with the regulation, unequal and discriminatory practices deepened and their efforts were ignored.

“STOP THIS REGULATION ASAP!”

Turkish Nurses Association, emphasizing that the understanding of health services as a whole is moved away with the regulation issued, said, “The payment system, which encourages disease not health, treating disease not improving health protection, focusing on the initiatives not on the human beings, independent of the nurse's labor and not reflected in retirement, should be abandoned as soon as possible.”
