High Election Board (YSK) increased its work on the possibility of snap elections and dominant elections.

Focusing on in-house training activities, YSK has completed its legal, material and infrastructure works. While January is expected to be a turning point for the YSK, it is stated that new members will be elected due to the expiration of the term of office of 5 members, especially the chairman of the YSK. 
 
High Election Board has started to make all its preparations before the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections. According to snap elections, dominant elections, normal elections, the institution continues its preparations for all infrastructure and superstructure. In addition, the turning point for the YSK in January is expected to change 4 members, including the chairman. 
 

YSK COMPLETED ITS WORK 

 
YSK increased its pre-election work. The institution, which focuses on the presidential election and the parliamentary election, has completed the material and infrastructure works in case the presidential election goes to the second round. Legal, material and infrastructure works have been increased in the works carried out in the institution. In addition, the institution focuses on training activities for personnel.
 

EXTENSION OF DUTY IS NOT EXPECTED 

 
In the senior management of the YSK, January is expected to be a busy month. The members, including the Chairman of the YSK, Muharrem Akkaya; The terms of office of Erhan Çiftçi, Cengiz Topraktaş, Kürşat Hamurcu and Yunus Aykın expire in January. While it is wondered whether the term of office of the said members will be extended, it is spoken in Justice and Development Party (AKP) backstage that new members will be appointed. In addition, the terms of some members were extended before the 2018 presidential and general parliamentary elections.
