Holy Hair of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), which is generally opened to visitors on holidays and oil lamp nights, has been made available to visit continuously thanks to a special section created in Sivas Pasha Mosque.
The mosque community experienced emotional moments when they saw the beard on display in a special glass partition in one corner of the mosque.
The congregation, who carefully examined the beard, left the mosque after saying salawat and praying.
In his statement, the imam of the Pasha Mosque, Abdullah Koç, said that the Holy Hair is a beautiful value presented to the spiritual feelings of the nation.
EVERYONE CAN VISIT ANYTIME
Abdullah Koç, imam of the Pasha Mosque, said that the Holy Hair can be visited at any time.
"Our mosque is 600 years old. The history of Holy Hair of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) is also quite old. It is a very beautiful value that our ancestors, in homage to our Beloved Prophet, separated them from his hair and beard, and preserved them in such a way and presented them to the spiritual feelings of the nation. Our ancestors used to wrap the beards in 40 bundles and show them to the nation on the Night of Power and oil lamp nights. It was the same in our mosque until recently. We were opening only in the Nights of Power. We have made such a system in order to relieve the longing of our nation a little more and to increase their favor towards it. In our mosque, this corner shed light on us as if it was reserved for him. We made this. Whether we have a female or a male congregation in our city, they come and visit at any time. In the etiquette of visiting, they make their visit to the Prophet by saying salat and salutations. There were returns of satisfaction," he said.
"WE ARE EMOTIONED WHEN WE SEE IT"
Bekir Yıldırım, who visited the beard-i sheriff, stated that he was touched when he saw the Holy Hair of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
"It is the beard of our beloved Prophet. We get emotional when we see it. It gives honor. We are emotional from the heart. It's a beautiful thing. It leaves a good impression on people. It leaves a good feeling. A very nice sound. It was shown on holy nights before, now it is every day," he said.
