Residents of the neighborhood claimed that dynamites caused the destruction and destruction of landslides. Neither the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization nor AFAD has found a solution to the struggle that has been going on for years. The authorities, on the other hand, ordered the citizens to evacuate the houses rather than bring regulations to the quarries.

The authorities, on the other hand, ordered the solution to evacuate houses rather than bring regulations to the quarries and offered 100,000 Turkish Liras repayment in 20 years. When the proposal was not accepted, many names from the district governor to the deputy came to the region and conducted persuasion work.

“DYNAMITE DISCONNECTED OVER 3-4 TONS”

Lokman Güney, who had cracks in his house, made statements to the Milli Gazete and told them about their tragicomic event. Güney, "This is İslamdağ neighborhood located in Ordu, Fatsa district. There was nothing in our neighborhood before. There are four quarries in the neighborhood. Dynamite is constantly being thrown from these quarries. We were hanging in our house because of the dynamite thrown in the quarry. We even saw fruit trees go back and forth. Everyone sees this as a natural event, as a landslide, but it is not true. Over 3-4 tons of dynamite is thrown in the quarries. When I asked the person who threw the dynamite how much they had thrown, he said they had thrown four tons. Other officials of the quarry we went to talk, "Go complain," they said, they talked to us as a wave," he said.

Güney, “In 2017, I filed a complaint with Fatsa District Governor's Office. The district governor referred my complaint to the governorship and from the governorship to the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization. The authorities came and illustrated my house. They closed my file claiming the weak foundation of my house. I recently wrote to CIMER. Because my house was swinging back and forth within a meter. But we did not receive any support from the state. They're trying to convince us to borrow the loan. AFAD did the research. They told us that they would give us 8.500 TL move support, they would give 1 year rent aid and they would give 100 thousand TL housing loan. They came to collect signatures on the condition that they pay back in 20 years. They could not convince the villagers", he added.

“I WILL NOT LEAVE MY SOIL”

Güney said that many political names from the district governor to the deputy came to the village and tried to convince the citizens of the loan. Lastly, AKP MP Ergün Taşçı came to convince us. Everyone except me agreed. I do not want to be indebted to the state for 20 years because of the damage caused by the quarries. Our houses were destroyed. We have cracks in our land. They charge us to protect their quarries. My house, my land was given to quarry, why should I give 100 thousand liras? They're still threatening them. 'If you don't, we'll get out with the gendarmerie'. I will not leave my village, my land."
