Turkey, after the martyrdom of our 33 soldiers in Idlib, has opened its border crossing for passage to Europe. Refugees who wanted to cross to Greece from the Meriç River flocked to the Greek border with a thousand dreams and hope.

Refugees who managed to cross the border were later subjected to harsh treatment of Greek soldiers. Many refugees were beaten, many were sent to Turkey, some of the boats sunk during the transition. On the other hand, 2 refugees died after the soldiers opened fire. In Greece, which acts against the European Convention on Human Rights, the painful waiting continues.

After Turkey's decision to open the door to Europe flocked to thousands of immigrants crossing the border. Immigrants, including people from Syria, Afghanistan and African countries, wanted to go to Europe for a better life. The dreams of immigrants who try to cross over Europe for a week with great hopes result in frustration. The immigrants who could not pass through Edirne İpsala Border Gate to Greece tried to cross the villages on the Meriç River. Acting against the European Convention on Human Rights, Greece took the mobile phone and money of immigrants and extorted violence.

VIOLENCE AND EXTORTION TO REFUGEES

A month before coming to Turkey from Syria, Cabil and his brothers from Edirne to 150 km on foot with the opening of the border line, "I came with my brother to Turkey from the Syrian city of Aleppo a month ago. Then I got the news that the border gates were open. Me and my three brothers set out for Edirne. Approximately 150 km long road we reached here up to the Meriç River. We had a thousand 500 dollars in our pocket. We managed to cross the Meriç River 4 days ago. However, in a short time, the Greek soldier caught us and took us to a place like custody. During the 4 days there, I and my brothers have suffered various tortures. They took all of our mobile phones and money. They were so cruel that they didn't even give a sip of water. You see it too, they made my face purple. These are the works of the Greek tyrant. We lost our hope here and we are going back to Edirne," he said.

Fully 12 times exceeding the Greek border and returning to Turkey to Afghanistan nationals Omar and his friends, "We are five friends, we were able to cross the border with Greece 12-13 times. However, after a certain distance, the Greek police caught us and sent them back. Finally, we decided to cross the border over the Meriç River. The Greek soldier fired at us with a gun and sank our boat. We hardly saved our lives. All that remained was just a shovel. They extorted all of our money, took our phones. They stripped our friends naked and sent them back. When we crossed the first border, we were 2 thousand people. They shot some of us and shot a few of them. We have heard such bad things; tiny children are said to be harassed and raped," he said.

"THE MAJOR RESPONSIBLE OF MIGRATION IS THE WESTERN STATES"

Expressing that he is a Bulgarian immigrant, Saadet Party General Board Member Mustafa İriş evaluated the human drama at the border in our newspaper.

İriş, "People never want to emigrate from the land they live in. Today, thousands of migrants on the border with Greece want to migrate to Europe for a better life. The persecution of Greece against immigrants is unacceptable. The main responsible for this situation is the Western states, which confuse Afghanistan, Africa and Syria. As a result of the exploitative mentality, these people became their homeland. Currently, the European people are also questioning their governments. Europe will now pay for its exploitative mentality," he said.
