‘Memur-Sen’ (Public Servants Union) Confederation shared its November hunger and poverty line survey with the public. According to the shared figures, the hunger limit for a family of 4 in Turkey was 3,107 TL, and the poverty line was 8,823 TL. In the October data of the same research, the hunger limit was calculated as 3,027 TL and the poverty line as 8,595 TL. Accordingly, while the hunger limit increased by 80 TL in a month, there was an increase of 228 TL in the poverty line.
LPG INCREASED 19.55 PERCENT
According to the results of the research; food, transportation, education, personal hygiene, health and clothing prices also increased in November. It was noted that the highest increase was experienced in LPG, diesel and flight ticket prices. In the research, which stated that the LPG filling fee increased by 19,55 percent, it was reported that the increase in diesel fuel increased by 10,13 percent, and the air ticket prices increased by 9,95 percent.
HEATING INCREASED
In the winter months we are in, there has been an increase in the prices of heating materials, which are the most curious. While heating material price in November compared to October increased by 9,67 percent on average, there was an average increase of 1,52 percent in the prices of housing materials. In the research, it was also noted that no increase was observed in the price of lighting material in these seasons when the weather starts to get dark early.
